Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from Dr. Jeff Duncan-Andrade on the role of equity in education!
November 9, 2022 at 9 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Virtual Conference via Webex
Join us for the 34th annual Maricopa Community Colleges Student Success Conference, bringing together Maricopans and educators of myriad roles and responsibilities to share strategies for disrupting structural inequities, enhancing student success, and responding to the many changes upon higher education.
As we emerge from the pandemic, we find ourselves embracing some of the traditional methods in higher education while also adapting to the changes that have occurred during this tumultuous time. This year’s conference will be a one-day virtual event focusing on equitable completion and student success.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jeff Duncan-Andrade, a professor of Latina/o Studies and Race and Resistance Studies at San Francisco State University. He was a founder of the Roses in Concrete Community School, a community responsive lab school in East Oakland, Calif., and has been a classroom teacher and school leader in East Oakland for the past 29 years.
